THE 54th ANNUAL USC STUDENT SHOW COMPETITION @ MCMASTER GALLERY

ELIGIBILITY
All students ENROLLED in the USC Art Department are eligible. All work must have been completed during the student’s time of enrollment at USC. All entries must be of original design and personal execution. Artists working in traditional mediums as well as experimental media are encouraged to submit entries for judging. Works that hang must be appropriately mounted or framed with hanging  devices in place. In order to be displayed, all works must be received ready to install and with installation instructions when necessary. Film, Video or Sound works should be submitted on either VHS, DVD, or CD making sure that it will play on an Apple Computer. No works that require maintenance, are biodegradable, include loose soil/grit, are larger than 6’x 6’ or exceeding 75 pounds will be accepted. TimeWorks will be shown on a computer monitor and not projected. The gallery will handle all items for exhibition with extreme care during the loan period but cannot be responsible for works that are inordinately fragile or inherently subject to damage. Submission of any entry constitutes an agreement with all conditions set forth in the prospectus.
Entrants may submit a maximum of two works. The three labels must be attached individually to the back right of the work. 

AWARDS
The Student Competition will present awards to selected artists who have achieved Juror’s Choice recognition. Awards will be announced during the exhibition’s Awards reception Thursday, March 4th.

EXHIBITION
An artists reception and awards presentation will be held on Thursday, March 4th, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the McMaster Gallery. The exhibit will continue through March 26th. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.


All entries must be delivered no later than 4:00 pm of February 25th. Notice of acceptance will be posted February 27th by 5pm
